Slingshot is a fusion of today’s leading precision ag tools – it is a solution that ties together RTK GPS correction via cell signal, high-speed Internet access, asset tracking, access to real-time service from authorized Slingshot dealers, and the ability to transfer data such as prescription maps without cards or wires. Slingshot does all this while increasing accuracy to the sub-inch level, more than quadrupling the typical RTK coverage area, eliminating the need for line of sight requirements from a base station and it costs roughly one-third of a typical RTK system.
How Does It Work?
The cell signals can be accessed one of two ways – through existing public CORS networks or through a system of base stations installed by a Slingshot dealer (OVA) - each base station features a 30-plus mile radius of signal accessibility. An industrial grade modem, the Slingshot Field Hub resides in the vehicle cab to receive the signal. The result is repeatable RTK GPS correction and full wireless-internet access.
Tying It All Together
Base Station - Our base stations are placed all around you. They can be anywhere - perhaps your local elevator or at our dealership. It just depends on where you are. Regardless of where the base station is placed, it is the broadcst center of the 30 mile radius signal that you need to purchase a subscription to in order to access the Slingshot RTK GPS. Slingshot's revolutionary base stations make line of sight requirements a things of the past. Because Slingshot uses the signal from cellular towers, you never have to worry again about moving your RTK base every time you move to a new field.
Slingshot Online - Slingshot leverages its industry-first internet connectivity in a suite of online services that help you achieve a new level of performance and perfection in your operation - no matter where you or your vehicles are. Slingshot stores all field and application data in a secure database you can access any time, anywhere with a simple web browser. Think about it: now you can observe your fleet with any laptop, desktop or mobile computer in any county, any time zone in the world. You just need internet access. That means big changes to the way you operate. With your data online in a secure Slingshot account (that can update in near-real-time), you can track vehicle locations, make on-the-fly changes to work orders like prescription maps, and monitor, collect, and analyze data from all your assets from anywhere in the world.

The field hub even works with traditional CDRS network signals. No matter how remote the job, the Slingshot Field Hub and signal subscriptions keep vehicle operators connected to the rest of the world - with access to Slingshot's support team, based right here in North America, without ever leaving the cab.
